Mud Fest, Spring 09

Do you like it loud and dirty?

Everyone in Granville, New York does.

Welcome to Mud Fest 2009.

I was invited by my boyfriend at the time(who has now rightfully earned the nickname jerkface) to this thrilling event. I love trucks, and the bigger, louder, and dirtier the better, so this was definitely something I wanted to be at, camera in hand of course. Every Spring, all of Granville gather at one of two houses and watch daring souls drive their mud-thirsty vehicles through the endless amount of deep, thick, heavy, mud. They ran their trucks untill they couldn’t run anymore. I remember seeing trucks drive though, each time their motors getting louder and louder until they blew. Trucks would get stuck, and they’d help pull each other out. It’s also a very family friendly event. Kids of all ages were there with their parents, watching them, until sundown-when it started to get cold. I made some friends, and saw some old faces, had a beer or two, and took some great pictures. All in all, it was a great day. Enjoy!

My start to the world of Blogging…

I don’t want to be that person who starts off with “well, this is my first blog, and I don’t know what to say” cause I do, and I have alot to say! In a way though, I feel like I might be holding myself back from saying things I really want to say, because I’m going to be graded on this..(yes, I have to start this for a class project, will explain later..), but in all truth, I’ve always wanted to start a blog, and now, here I am! yay! starting a blog..letting you all in, and seeing what you all have to say. I LOVE getting to know people, and meeting new people, and I do it alot through online media. I kept journals as a pre-teen, I would fill journal after journal with notes, and letters, stories about the boys I liked, ext, and lock them up and read them later. As a teenager, I collaged, and wrote poetry, and wrote out song lyrics to vet my frustrations..as well as went to councling..but here, now 22 years old, and almost done college, I feel that blogging will be a good way for me to get out into to the world, and meet new, amazing, beautiful, people like yourself.

This blog is going to include not only my venting frustrations and stuggles, laughs, and joys of my daily life, it’s also going to be a place for me to post mt art work, and gather people’s reaactions and thoughts about it..With this start of this blog, I’m also going to start a photography project for myself, that I will start this Wednesday, possibly Tuesday night…as long as I can get my hands on a decent camera of course..

Reading this over, I sound pretty boring. I don’t even know if I would want to read this blog, but it’s my first post,so, bare with me here..haha

So, hang on to your shirts and panties kids, cause you’re in for it now.
